SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

Standard

Today, I was going through my Form Four Trash Box when I came across the CHAVAKALI HIGH SCHOOL FORM FOUR PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING DAY PROGRAM of 18th October 2008. It’s not the Organization of the program that caught my eye; but what I scribbled at the back of the program.

It’s the sermon of the day given by a one Mr. Mulembwa Nicodemus. It was about RUNNING TO WIN. The Sermon set the right mood for the KCSE Examination we were to face the following week. It was the right recipe to ensure that we emerged winners, victors, and achievers.

Mr. Mulembwa read from the book of 1st Corinthians 9: 24- 27.

He advised in his sermon that as candidates, we were to avoid bad company in order to succeed. He said that discipline is paramount when one needs to succeed. From the book of Galatians 6:7, he said that hard work never goes unrewarded.

Lastly, Our good speaker for the day, Mr. Mulembwa, advised the 2008 Chavakalian Candidates that they were to go for nothing but the best price for their toiling.

Though 2008 Sermon is history by now, it was worth my reflection today. I hope it’s worth yours too.

Good evening.
